Comment on Anger Might Be Your Exhaustion by Connie Schmoll

Very good Amy and very informative. I really needed to hear this. It helped me also to realize why I've had very exhaustive times in my body. My anger though is never outward and loud. Sometimes I am verbal but most of the time, I withdrawal from others and keep it buried.

Here lately I've been doing as you said...keeping more focused on when the "thoughts" come and begin ... as Scripture says... casting down the imaginations and everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. The best book I've read and the best study I've taken was by Joyce Meyer "The Battle Field of the Mind" - winning the battle over the mind. That's where it all starts....in the mind.

When those angry thoughts come...we've got to capture them, throw them down and crush them! LOL

I had heard a lot about the movie from others and they were always saying that married couples needed to see it and now I see why. It was just recently that it was shown on TV so I watched it. Anyway, since you have seen it, I'll share what I thought was the most powerful part which was brought to my mind by what you said above.

The scene where Caleb and his dad are walking and come to the place where the cross is and he begins telling his dad what bothers him about his wife. And in the midst of his frustration, he comes out and asks, "How am I suppose to show love to somebody over and over and over again who constantly rejects me?" Then he looks up and his father replies, "That's a good question." His father is leaning against the cross and there is silence...............

WOW! How powerful! I felt the Holy Ghost!

Jesus went through SO MUCH FOR US when we were so unworthy of it. And like you said.....It IS quite humbling.

When you asked, "How could God do something like that for us especially when we are not near what we should be for him..." it reminded me of the movie, Fire Proof. Have you seen it, Amy? I'll wait for your reply before I share what I thought was the most powerful part of the movie....if you have seen it. I don't want to spoil it for you if you have NOT seen it. heehee.

Very true Connie. Our mind is really a battleground. It's very difficult at time working in an atmosphere full of negativity. It just rubs right off if you are not careful. Many times we need to stop and take a few breaths, then think on something positive.
Thanks a lot for your comments! I really appreciate them. I am so happy you enjoy my posts. Hope to be able to start work on podcasting soon. I can't wait for that to happen.

This Scripture is so powerful and very important to always apply to our lives. We must guard our heart. We hear it many times that what goes into us, usually comes out. If we are not prepared for the day, and we are constantly in this type of atmosphere of negativity and such, it will be so easy for us to begin talking and acting the same way. But if our heart is full of God's Word, there is no place for the junk to reside. Another thing that comes to my mind about "guarding our heart" is not allowing bitterness, anger, etc to enter in when we are hurt by someone. We have the choice or control of what we allow our hearts to receive. Some people don't realize that. We have to be strong enough to say, "HEY! I refuse to be offended and hurt by this situation. I choose to NOT receive it. I will NOT allow it to enter my heart!" Bottomline is...our mind is the battle ground. Don't think on the bad, but keep your mind renewed by the Word of God and think on things that are good, pure, etc.

Beautiful! I had just came from writing what I wanted on the back of my devotional book and then came here to read this and it went right along with it. In many of my devotionals, I place a lot of emphasis on the importance of daily communication with God through prayer and His Word and how it helps us stay sensitive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

The devil tries to keep us trapped in a web of confusion, frustration and fear through life’s trials. He comes to try and steal God’s Word from our hearts. But if we worship God and enter into His Presence, this opens the door for the light of heaven to flood our life and circumstances. God’s light is the way to revealing the truth behind the circumstance so that we can receive His divine perspective.

GOD IS GOOD!!! OH HOW I LOVE HIS WORD!!
