Thought for the Day

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever

Trust Him!  Let God lead you. He knows what  you are in need of. Relax in the green pastures, drink from the still waters. Even in the worst of times we face, He is there, ready to take us by the hand and comfort us. What a God!  He’s our Shepherd who will keep us safe.

Thought for the Day

Oh, that the Lord would let me see everything through new eyes so I could experience everything in a new light.  To see things as though  I am seeing them for the first time and realize the beauty and worth that many things hold, especially those things I take for granted. To find positive qualities in those circumstances or people where I now only see negative. To see the wonder of love and joy in others.  I long to see through Jesus’s eyes.

How much would our lives change, if God gave us new eyes to see through? How much more would our lives change if we could see everything through Jesus’ eyes?

I Cor. 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Thought for the Day

God calls us to  freely give love, mercy, forgiveness, etc to everyone, especially our brother’s and sisters in Christ, because that shows the true state of our relationship with God.

Thought for the Day

Many times we do not appreciate God’s “Rod of Correction,” but in the long run it is what is best for us. God refused to leave us in our fallen state… that’s why He came in the flesh, died a slow gruesome death and rose again. Aren’t you thankful that He didn’t leave you in that place where He found you?

Thought for the Day

II Cor. 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 4:9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 4:10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 4:11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh

With God we can handle anything, as long as we trust in Him and His love for us.
