Thought for the Day

We go through many seasons in life, and sometimes we become "weather worn."  Those seasons that leave their mark on us are the seasons that draw us closer to God, to depend more on Him.  Many times, we feel that we are being ripped apart by the gusting wind or frozen solid during the bitter and blustery blizzard.  That is when we need to run to our strong tower! Call on the name of Jesus!  The season may not leave, but peace will definitely come!

Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.

Colossians 3:23-24

23. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24.  Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

We have an inheritance because we serve the Lord!  We may grumble about work, problems or any tasks the need to be completed, but if we do it unto God we will be rewarded!  Try to serve with a happy heart!  God loves a cheerful giver, whether giving in time, talent, money or of our hearts.

Thought for the Day

God is God. He is all knowing and all powerful. He knows the end result. Doubt, worry and fear will not stop God’s promise, they only stop your peace!  Rest in knowing that God is sovereign!  We will have peace through our obedience and trust in God!  Pray, read and have the relationship that God desires to have with you! Take your circumstance and put it into God’s hands and let Him take control!

Thought for the Day

Do not tear your brother or sister down, especially when they receive a word or promise from God. Build them up and celebrate with them in Jesus name! Don’t ever say "Let’s see how long this lasts," or "Let’s see how long you can make this change for." Instead encourage and pray for them each step of the way. We are family after all.

Thought for the Day

Psalm 34:6-8

6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles

7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

God is always listening…. just keep your hope & trust in Him and hold on!  He knows what is best for each of us, and what we need to shape our lives.  He is our Potter, forming us to what He wants us to be! It’s easy to forget that once we are in the midst of a trial, that is why getting into the word of God is essential to our Spiritual lives, that’s the only way we can make it. When you read scriptures like the above scripture, you realize "Hey, God is listening…"
