He suffered for our salvation

Do you realize that Jesus suffered for your salvation?
Isaiah 53:5, the English standard version, tells us this about Jesus,

But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

Wounded means a bodily wound; not mere mental sorrow; literally, “pierced”;
bruised—crushing inward and outward suffering
He was bruised
by the thorns
by the nails
by the spear of the soldier

Chastisement is the correction inflicted by a parent on children for their good. He literally suffered our chastisement so we could have peace

1 Peter 2:24 tells us:
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

By His wounds we are healed! By His bruising, inward and outward suffering, by his gashes and lacerations, we are healed. He took that upon Himself because He loved you. There is no greater love in this world than His.

Hebrews 9:28 says this:
So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

He did all this to save us! To save you!

Take time to reflect on what Jesus did for you so that you might be saved.

Have a safe and blessed resurrection day!
