Serve With a Happy Heart

mountain

Colossians 3:23-24

23. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24.  Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

We have an inheritance because we serve the Lord!  We may grumble about work, problems or any tasks the need to be completed, but if we do it unto God we will be rewarded!  Try to serve with a happy heart!  God loves a cheerful giver, whether giving in time, talent, money or of our hearts.

God is God. He is all knowing and all powerful. He knows the end result. Doubt, worry and fear will not stop God’s promise, they only stop your peace! Rest in knowing that God is sovereign. We will have peace through our obedience and trust in God! Pray, read and have the relationship that God desires to have with you! Take your circumstance and put it into God’s hands and let Him take control!

Build Your Brother Up

trees

Do not tear your brother or sister down, especially when they receive a word or promise from God. Build them up and celebrate with them in Jesus name! Don’t ever say "Let’s see how long this lasts," or "Let’s see how long you can make this change for." Instead encourage and pray for them each step of the way. We are family after all.

Psalm 23:
1The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2
 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3
 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4
 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5
 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6
 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever

Trust Him!  Let God lead you. He knows what  you are in need of. Relax in the green pastures, drink from the still waters. Even in the worst of times we face, He is there, ready to take us by the hand and comfort us. What a God!  He’s our Shepherd who will keep us safe.

Oh, that the Lord would let me see everything through new eyes so I could experience everything in a new light. To see things as though I am seeing them for the first time and realize the beauty and worth that many things hold, especially those things I take for granted. To find positive qualities in circumstances or people where I now only see negative. To see the wonder of love and joy in others. I long to see through Jesus’s eyes.

How much would our lives change, if God gave us new eyes to see through? How much more would our lives change if we could see everything through Jesus’ eyes?

II Corinthians 4:7
7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
8
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9
Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
10
Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
11
For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh

With God we can handle anything, as long as we trust in Him and His love for us.

Psalm 31:23-24 (The Message)
 23 Love God, all you saints;
      God takes care of all who stay close to him,
   But he pays back in full
      those arrogant enough to go it alone.
 24 Be brave. Be strong. Don’t give up.
      Expect God to get here soon.

If we stay Close to God and love Him, He will take care of us.  If we try to go it alone, without God we have to deal with the consequences of our actions.  So, Don’t  give up!  Keep depending on God! Stay strong in God!
